BLUE ISLANDS
If so, that's quite modest compared to the alleged levels of crew turnover at another airline based in a different point of the compass. I doubt the CAA will take any interest whatsoever as it simply means that pilot resignations at Blue Islands are catching up with the rest of the regional airline industry?

Reasons for resignations need to be taken into account. One FO has been in the news recently, which might be a partial explanation. However, Blue Islands' limited route network and possible inadequate pension scheme may account for this. It's certainly well known that a number of aircrew with BI have "jumped ship" to another carrier in the past year or have sought better positions elsewhere.

Probably not.
It may just be a coincidence if 3 have left during the same week. Many F/Os tend to stay with a small carrier (such as BI) for only a short time in order to gain experience before climbing the ladder at easyJet, BA, Ryanair, Wizz etc. Prospects at BI are limited and the few destinations served can create boredom for a younger F/O.

G-ISLK
Three weeks after being damaged by Storm Angus, LK has returned to service this afternoon on the Guernsey-Southampton route. ATR72 OY-RUG returned to DAT, off lease, this morning.

"New" ATR72
OY-YAT delivered Billund-Guernsey yesterday (13th). Perhaps replacing ATR42 G-ZEBS which appears to have done no commercial flying since 29th December and is for sale.

If anything can be certain, it is that Guernsey will not have two operators running parallel services to Luton. In fact, I would be mildly surprised if either airline operated it; &, if they do I would not expect it to last very long. I could be wrong, though. Time will tell !

OY-YAT
I may be wrong but as far as I know the information relating to OY-YAT being delivered to Guernsey on the 13th January is incorrect.
It seems that inaccurate info has circulated. Sources now indicate delivery of OY-YAT (to be G-ISLL) is today.
It has now been reported that OY-YAT was delivered to Jersey on the 19th.

ATRs to Germany
ATR42 G-ZEBS positioned Jersey-Saarbrucken on 15th March as BCI007P. The a/c has reportedly been offered for sale. Today ATR72 G-ISLI positioned Jersey-Monchengladbach as BCI008P. Are these flights related to maintenance, or are the aircraft up for disposal?

I was told this morning that Blue are reportedly closing their Guernsey base, all crew in future will be based in JER. One now has to wonder about their commitment to GCI.
