Just got my rejection too. 5th and final time for me applying, each rejection just devastating as the last.
My advice for anyone interested is: if flying is your dream and passion please don’t let your success or failure for a program like this define whether you follow your dream or not.
this is a great option if it works, but as I have learnt, no matter how well I prepared, it just wasn’t meant to be for me.
I’ve worked my ass off over the last 4 years to put myself in the position to do an integrated course next year but it took me a long time to realise just how difficult it is to be successful in a program like this.

another option is the Whizz air one, the entrance to it isn’t as hard as EI but you will have to pay about 14k upfront and then it will be deducted from your pay over time, It’s also a A320 TR which in my option at the moment is better than Boeing TR, they will work you hard there though with lots of hours which can be exhausting but will increase your hours pretty quickly, you are bonded with them for 5 years but after you build your hours you can always apply to EI or another Airbus operator and buy yourself out of the remaining bond with Whizz.
For everyone though don’t let this put you off learning how to fly, you could even study the PPL topics fairly cheaply and pass the exams for about 500€ and then slowly build ppl flying hours until next year, this will slightly reduce your bonded repayment amount to EI should you get selected next year and also look favourable on your CV

Good evening lads! Unfortunately I got rejected around 15:00 today. Not going to lie, I am devastated. Although this has been my first attempt, I have been preparing for over a year almost non-stop. But it is what it is, and I have read that there are some of you that have tried 5 years in a row without any success. I am going to continue to pursue my dream and those that have been rejected should too. I guess at the end it comes down to your resume, and not having a technical background did not help my case at all. Hope that all of you that are still waiting are successful, and to those that haven't, I'll see you in a year

Monday it is then, I wonder how they will pick based on the CVs and cover letters for the mid-high scorers, I have no relevant experience so hope that’s not a dealbreaker. Anyways best of luck everyone

Hey I got an invite to the center in the 15th may. I think I saw a reply that stated that those who received their invitation at that date were the ones that scored the highest procentage. Does anybody know if this is true?

Long time lurker, first time poster. I've been following this thread for a while now whilst waiting for the thumbs up or down email.
Bit of backstory first: I'd applied to last year's intake and was successful with the online element, then being invited to an interview day in Dublin (flying from Scotland). I'd made it through the morning group assessments and was kept on for the afternoon interview. Despite ultimately being unsuccessful, I was incredibly chuffed at getting that far. The quality of candidates on the day I was there was something else - each person for the most part was interesting, funny and very capable. I'm still in touch with a couple of candidates from my assessment day, and know of at least two from that day that got the gig. As for the assessment day itself, the air crew and recruitment staff were incredibly friendly and approachable, and made it one of the best (albeit rightly stressful) candidate journeys I've had. However, the worst part being that they couldn't provide individual feedback once that ultimate outcome email was sent.
All that said, I, like many others today, received the thumbs down email earlier. I thought this was interesting and my first thought was that because I'd got so far into the previous interviews, they'd made their decision that I wasn't suited to the role...ever. Or my scores this time were below whatever acceptable thresholds they have. Or a combination of the two. Again, feedback would be nice.
Either way, I'll be applying for the next round, but want to wish those successful and moving into the next phase this year all the best!

sorry to hear this! Keep trying and keep gaining that work life experience especially within aviation! I’ve been applying for these for many years now but after lots of work, working different aviation sectors gaining plenty of experience in the operation I’d like to think this helped me this time round finally to make a successful next step into the assessment day!
are you able to give a brief overview of what’s entailed on the assessment day and what assessments/interviews are carried out?

Hi all. Don't want to flog a dead horse here but just be interested in opinions. Is there any significance in getting a rejection late last week - does it mean for instance that were borderline on the aptitude tests and perhaps were rejected on a re-look at CV? Or is it just a case of such an amount of applications that only got to some last week and could as easily have been way off on the tests - could have as easily been rejected a few weeks ago if you were positioned differently in the pile? I suppose the question I'm asking is does it mean anything to have not gotten rejection at a late stage? Was my second time applying and I'm a bit older so wondering this time if perhaps I'd scored ok but maybe a call made on CV that just not the right fit. My rejection last year was much earlier - max three weeks (knew it was coming as well as had a couple of tech issues on the day that messed up a couple of tests). Genuinely not trying to analyse the thing any more that it should be - appreciate thousands of applications and open to the likely fact that just a number rejected like anyone else as not hitting the mark.
