Simon Brenchley RIP
Posted on social media on 31st August 2021:-
I was saddened to hear the news of Simon's passing. I last met up with him when he flew his Waco biplane into Tollerton (EGBN) about 2/3 years ago. He was full of fun and life then as always. I also flew with him on several occasions when we were flying for Orion in the 1980s.
RIP
Sadly I have heard this morning that Simon Brenchley passed away on Saturday after a short but intense battle with cancer. Simon was with Orion in the 80’s and then spent the rest of his flying career with Cathay Pacific.

Very sorry to hear of Simon’s untimely passing. Always a gentleman, easygoing and a pleasure to share the flight deck or an occasional beer with. Sorry not to have caught up with him post CX to recall the best of times. Fair winds old friend.

Shocking news - met Simon at a fly-in a couple of years ago having “met” his Waco at Stoke Golding the year before. He was very interested in our aircraft and we spent a short but enjoyable burger lunch chatting about Cathay/BA and Waco/Stinson.
Far too young..
