ANY Church Fenton PILOTS 1978-1980
Hi All, I am researching some pilots from N.Ireland and am trying to contact anyone who trained with Tom Bayliff at Church Fenton. Tom was very sadly killed in a JP5 crash in July 1979. I was on Queens Air Squadron with Tom and did Aero Eng with him.

I was on the same squadron at Church Fenton albeit a different course.
We didn’t get to know the senior course that well, however, I do remember going out for a curry
with Tom and others and having a “ring stinger”. A new term for me back then!
I can remember the day Tom crashed. The sombre, shocked mood around the whole station was palpable.
