Captain Alan Walker
Can't confirm but from other sources we hear that Alan has passed. A regular PPRuNe contributor, known as "Fokkerwokker" (reference to his days on Gf F27's ) his very wide background, Mill then, amongst others, Gulfair,Laker, Air 2000 and through the ASL DEC route, CX- Cargo and from there the pax services too , no doubt , will have surrounded him with a wide company of friends and colleagues. Condolences to those and trusting my info is correct.

Sadly true, full details on his facebook page.
"Message from Alan’s family...We are extremely saddened to reveal the passing of Alan at Stoke Mandeville Hospital yesterday afternoon at 3.25pm. Alex and Lynz were both by his side for his peaceful passing from complications which arose in the later stages of treatment for his Intravascular Large B-cell Lymphoma. As per Alan's wishes we will be having a small, private family funeral. As a friend rightly said this afternoon, ‘you’d need a castle’ to accommodate all the hundreds of well wishers wanting to pay their final respects.
This page will be memorialised shortly at which time we would welcome any tributes or stories about Alan. For those of you wishing to contribute in other ways then we received wonderful support from MacMillan Cancer during Alan’s illness and would ask that any donations be made to them in lieu of flowers.Thank you in advance for all your support for Alan and our family over the past very difficult 6 months.
Lynz, Alex and Chris"

Only knew Alan through his warm contributions to these pages (at some point it became apparent who Fokkerwokker was!) and his appearances at airshows over the years; I do wish I could have known him personally.
So sad.

Very sorry to hear of Alan's passing. I was in touch with him a couple of weeks ago. Happy memories of our times in BIA and Gulf Air. Must be nearly forty years since I watched him displaying at The Mildenhall Air Fete. My condolences to his Family. I hope they don't mind but I've pinched these images off Twitter by way of a small tribute. Fly high Al - all the best Tom.

I knew Alan vaguely through friends and his time at BIA, but from what little I knew he was a thoroughly professional and likeable person. One of his best friends (and a mutual friend) died in August, so no doubt a few beers are being enjoyed in the celestial bar at the moment. RIP.
