Dear all,

I wonder if anyone can give me a helping hand to check a person captain or not? Grateful to receive a reply as soon as practical.

Thank you for your attention.

Hi If You are Meaning a person in Particular is a Captain or not. As i understand it from the Uk CAA if you have a Professional Licence you are a Captain. If you work for an Airline for example you start as Second or First Officer and then depending on your ability you can then get A Command in that airline or charter company. Or are youthinking that a person has said they are a Captain and you do not believe them ????.

You'd have to ask someone who knew him or worked in the same company.
To do that you'd need to identify both him and the company and hope someone chooses to make a statement that may or may not be true anyway.

To get a reply to that question here you'd need a pretty convincng argument to justify your bonafides in asking it and especially for identifying an individual by name.

I wouldn't bother.

Dear all,

He said he has worked in BA and Lufthansa before and have flown Boeing 747-400F, Airbus 380, Boeing 777-300ER, Boeing 757-200 and his name is Williams S. Chu. He has studied in two flight schools (CAE oxford aviation academy, and flying academy).

I wish to know if anyone here know about him. Thank you very much.

Piece of advice, ascertain the facts BEFORE bringing their name into disrepute on a public forum...

Piece of advice. Read what is written, NOT what you think MIGHT be implied before criticising.

I don't see anything which brings any name into disrepute, other than your ill-founded criticism of skieskitty. What exactly has skieskitty said to bring anyone's name into disrepute, in your opinion?

Well, being in possession of the name Williams for a start. Most of us Williams have to make do with plain William.

BA and Lufthansa would be an unusual mix, as would B747 and A380. Neither of the airlines mentioned employ large numbers of Chinese pilots if any. The whole thing looks very strange to me and you are perfectly right to be suspicious.

This silly thread should have been skyboshed a while ago but since it has been left to develop, I have to agree with Krismiler. More like Walter Mitty than Williams. But here goes a morph into poetry : I once knew a chick called Skieskitty, very impressed with a guy called Walter Mitty.....................C'mon Pruners, finish it off. Prizes for the best !
