Dave Noon

Dave passed away suddenly on 1st July 2016 aged 71 years.
His funeral is on 20th July at 11.00 at Grantham crematorium.
He started flying at 17 years; his career started with the RAF, and continued with many other organisations, clocking up over 17,500 flying hours by 2009.....doing the job he dearly loved. Instructing came naturally to him, and he continued in that vein at RAF Cranwell until his retirement.
I know he has touched the lives of so many of you by the wonderful cards and calls we, the family have received.
Gee, Nicola and Marcus.

I am very sad to hear that 'Snoopy' is no longer with us. Aviation has lost another true gentleman who helped many along the way. Many of the young cadets he flew with at RBA are now captains on their 787 and on the 744 at SQC.

Jane and my sincerest sympathy for the three of you.

Flew with him on LXX Sqn in the late 70s.
A true gentleman who exuded calmness and professionalism at all times.
It was a pleasure to have known him. My thoughts are with his family.

Sorry to hear about Dave. Met him during the 90's in SIN. I think he may have been flying the F50 during that period. RIP

Farewell my friend.

It was a privilege to have flown with you, and to have been your friend.

Perhaps we'll have a beer on the other side, in which case, it's my round...

Would this be the same Dave Noon who spent his last years with Dhl? If it's the guy that did my initial training with Dhl , what a true gent . You could not have wished for a more genuine, honest and likeable person. What a sad loss. RIP Dave.

Yep. Same old Dave Noon. Our paths did not cross in the RAF but I knew him in RBA and also later in DHL. As the above say , a true Gent.

Shared the airspace around Linton with Dave in the '70s on the old JP. Now those WERE the good old days thanks to people like him.
