Vic Swanpoel (spg?) and Roger Price are still groundschool instructors.

Anybody know what happened to Kim Slattery (aussie engineer)?

Or Dave Doulby (ex-RAF Vulcans and nuclear specialist)?

Cheers,

VFE.

Damn! I know this is an old topic but I made a search and this is the only place I found a bunch of you guys from the old Prestwick days, any way I would love to get in touch with any of the instructors or students (pilots now, I hope) from there, here is my facebook address:

Al & Mike

Alan Park still with FLYBE I think? Gentleman of the 1st order and Mike Flynn retired from FLYBE Feb or Mar this year. Another good chap.

All dispatchers at GLA had a lot of time for them both.

Carl Mason was indeed killed in the Loganair SD360 fatal crash way back. A very sad day for everyone, especially his family. His death has had a deep and profound impact on me. He was one of the best and a real gentleman. I miss him greatly but am thankful for him regularly for all that taught me.

I was there as a Jet sim instructor 1996-2000 and then Jerez until the end of 2003. After that, 6 years doing MCC at Wolverhampton now out in the Middle East doing the same (for better money).

Pete Humphrys has retired to Spain (after being at Atlantic Flight Training), Jim Barrowman has retired to Turkey (via Qatar), Mike Ward was last know to be retired in Troon - I'm the only sim guy young enough to still be working!

Geoff Mew was last heard to be still in Doha

Anyone still in touch with Gemmell Ross? He was my QFI at Valley and it would be great to catch up with him.

LOMCEVAK,

Did anyone ever get back to you about Gemmell Ross? I knew him back in the late Sixties or early Seventies when he was at Uni and flew an Auster aerotow aircraft for Deeside Gliding Club, amongst other things. Terrific sense of humour - I'd like to hear from him again!
