Eastern Metro Express/Sunaire Express pilots?
Would like to get in touch with former pilots of Eastern Metro Express in SJU or STX (renamed Sunaire Express) that seized operations in July 1994.
Anyone who flew there or know someone who flew there, please let me know. Planning a reunion in SJU in 2009. Anyone know Dan Scarborough or Eric Johnson, I know they went on to fly for Continental Express.
Thanks for any info.

Well hello there...
I flew the Twotters out of STX from October 1986 to February 1988, then Evergreen hired me to fly the DC-8s.
Since then I moved to Dallas for 8 years working for various firms, then to Fort Lauderdale where I am right now.
Flying 757s and 767s for AA, but that seems pretty shaky right now.
Retured from a 4 year furlough October 2007 and probably facing another one this coming fall.
I was down there in STX a few months ago for R&R, nothing much has changed, but the hotel right next to Eastern Metro is gone, so is the sleazy in-keeper that kept showing porn flicks in the bar.

Eastern Metro
I flew out of SJU (briefly) and STX from winter 88 through Sept 89 (left just after Hugo). Remember Eric and Dan very well. Both went to COEX (Britt), as did I (Rocky)...assume that they are at CAL now.

Ray Navedo is still in San Juan(not flying), Falcon is flying for Mountain Air Cargo last I heard, Lindell is with NW, Mayfield is with United, heard that Tom M. is with the FAA in Houston, but never saw him there yet. Jared Lee has given up aviation, and having a ball in Long Island, Lyons is with Continental. Still hear from Carl R. once in a while who's up at Brathens(can't ever spell is right). Mike Johnson was still in STX last I heard, and spoke briefly to Bill W. who was just about to get recalled by Unted last year.
Not sure what Jay G. is doing. Mike Moody is with UPS, and I believe Per W, Elize are there as well .

Sunaire Reunion
I would love to see Sunaire people. I'm at United. So is D Porter. I get to see Mayfield and him here in Va and we laugh about STX. Vicki H is atAmerican I think. Colon has been a Southwest Captain for a long time I believe. C. Pope is at Southwest too? I'd love to know where Ridge is. He should be retired by now. I often think about the Captains from Sunaire and how much I thought about many of them. Love to know how Rivas and Torres are.

Ridge H
Greetings All
I just stumbled upon this thread and was hoping some of you would know former Sunaire pilot Ridge H. who was based in St Croix. Ridge has been flying for SkyWest since leaving Sunaire and is one of the most respected and enjoyable Captains at the company.
Ridge has chosen to leave 121 flying this month and we are having a going away party for him in San Luis Obispo, CA. I was hoping some of you would have some stories you could share that I could pass along for this event. Also, I would be thrilled if anyone has photos or memorabilia from the Sunaire days they’d be willing to share.
Please send me a Private Message with any info.
Many thanks!
