Question Wreckage near SAQ

What is the identity of the airplane wreck seen floating in water near San Andros Airport (SAQ), Bahamas, in January 2003?

Confirmation of the aircraft type only will suffice (i.e. DC-3 or C-46 or ???), but any other details such as registration and how it ended up there will be welcome too.

Thanks, PaperTiger.

That seems like an awfully long time (over 23 years) for the wreck to be sitting in the same spot. Quite incredible, really.
