Alaskan pilots ...
A friend of mine who has travelled a little in Alaska (as pax) heard this saying from the bush pilots that she met and relates:
"Alaska was pretty fabulous, landing on water and going on by boat to view bears, though the pilots were certainly curious people.
Alaska is very short of women, you could easily find a bush pilot to marry if you were so inclined, but they have the saying, which they tell against themselves, The odds are good, but the goods are odd."
Any truth in the rumour??

Half a bubble off
Ya almost gotta be half-a-bubble-off to fly some clap-trap 207 into short icy strips.
Couple sandwiches short of a picnic, you might say.
Not all the oars in the water.
Feet not quite touching bottom.
Peace.
