FAA Foreign License Verification
Hey guys,
I'm trying to get my ATPL verified by the FAA as part of a conversion process. It's a GCAA ATPL with a current IR, MPA and B-777 rating on it. The problem is the FAA require the certificate to have one rating with PIC privileges on it. I've been in the airlines for years now and my ME and SE land ratings are long expired. There have been many airline pilots who converted their licenses to FAA, surely I'm not the only one who doesn't keep my SE or ME ratings current on the side.
Have anyone come across a similar issue or have any ideas on how to get my license verified by the FAA?

Do you mean verified for the issue of an FAA PPL based on your current licence? Because I am pretty sure to take the FAA ATP checkride you just need to show the hours. Maybe you don't have 250 PIC?

The FAA letter is valid for a maximum of 6 months, or the verifying authority's duration. The GCAA were previously only issuing letters valid for 90 days…
…which makes great fun for all, with the FAA's quoted 45-60 day processing time for these letters, and potentially another 4 weeks for TSA approval. Not to mention the cancellation policy for the Part 142 school…
You may find it easier to add the B777 to an EASA license (if that’s what you previously held), then get a full 6-month verification letter to take to the FAA. PM for more details?
