Hi All
I am looking at the possibility of spending some time in the Ft Collins area when travel becomes possible. Can anyone point me to resources/forums where I can find out a bit about flying conditions/options with a PPL in C172 or similar?
I was there in June last year, I didn't get a chance to fly, but the weather looked really challenging with a succession of monster thunder storms rolling-in every afternoon.
Thanks

At least 2 schools at Ft. Collins

There may be others, also, it's a very active field. There are also many other options in the area, at Greeley (KGXY), Longmont (KLMO), Boulder (KBDU), Erie (KEIK).

I visit Colorado Springs a couple of time a year and fly all around in a 172. Never been to Fort Collins but I have Greeley. To the east is pretty flat and uninspiring. Great flying around the mountains though and if you can do so safely have a trip up to Leadville and get a hat and mug from the highest field in the US.
