The double-whammy was during the great recession, when the retirement age was extended to 65 and the airlines tanked.

If the feds raise the retirement age to 67, it's just going to give relieve for those two years. A recession could relieve some stress, but again, back to retirements, that will absorb a lot of over staffing.
