Fatal Alaskan floatplane crash

Three people are dead after a lodge floatplane carrying 10 people to a fishing site crashed during takeoff early Tuesday morning near Iliamna, AK, authorities say. The aircraft was reported to be a turbine Otter floatplane.

They are having a rough year up in AK this season. I have flown out of his lodge many yeas ago and had an "event" in one of their Otters as well. No injuries along with some damage to the aircraft.

Last year. Only 5 aviation fatalities in 2014 vs 35 the previous year, and 21 to date this year.
