ATR type rating covers which models?

I just got hired as an ATR Captain in a ATR 42-320. I have been looking online but can't seem to find information on what variants of the ATR this type rating will cover? Is there only one type rating for ATR 42/72 and then differences training for -500 and -600 or does the -500 and -600 require different type ratings? If you have the answers and can point me to your resource that would be a big help also. I will be operating the ATR in the USA but looking toward future employment overseas. Thanks a lot for all the help. This forum is a huge asset for pilots.

For the -500 you just need differences course. Dunno about the -600

600 is differences training also. Some countries only make you do training for the 600 difference. A friend of mine just got rated and it was written as ATR 200-500 I'm pretty sure.

Obviously dependent upon regulatory requirements, but Differences requirements depends mainly upon whether PEC to non PEC and vice versa.

There is no -600 Differences to anything so if you are rated on -600 only then you will require a new TR to operate any other ATR variant.

In FAA land there is only one ATR type rating that covers both the 42 and 72. Guidance is found in AC 61-89e. While old, it is still current. The "600" is covered in the Type Certificate Data Sheet A53EU. What it says is, there is no -600 model.

The ATR42-600 designation does not correspond to a model designation. This is only a commercial designation for an ATR42-
500 on which Major modifications 5948, 6521, 6230, and 6233 have been embodied during production.

I did my FAA ATR type in the ATR 72 and my certificate says ATR 42 ATR 72.
