I didn't realize that Epic has many Indian students.
Florida Flyers is another school to consider. It is across the airport from FACT. I know the owner of FACT and he has an excellent reputation.

DO NOT GO TO TAILWHEELS etc.
Their Aircraft are very old and have major problems on a regular basis.
Their Operations are non existent.
They take money off you upfront and cannot provide the training through lack of Instructors.
Overall a very poorly run Flight School.
Highly recommend you go elsewhere.

Upstate New York is easy. It's anything that's not NYC or Long Island!
(I lived in the City for a few years, this was the first thing they told me
)
Epic is a big school, I went there and ate their pizza, but their recruiters blatantly lied to me, and generally were completely clueless about flight training rules and regs. I would stay well clear.
I still have their flight training offer in my email for the times I feel bored and want some amusement.

All aircraft will go down for mx, that's called being a aircraft.
And what's wrong with older aircraft, these ain't your parents poorly maintained SUV, some of the best aircraft to train in are older, newer ain't always better.
I learned how to fly in a 46' Champ, beats the heck out of these kiddies cutting their teeth on Cirrus and Diamonds.
ALSO planes like a champ will produce a better pilot, it has less systems to maintain and is overall just a superior aircraft.

James, I was stating a fact, Tailwheels Aircraft are old and they have problems. The next school may have newer and more reliable Aircraft and it's something to take into consideration when looking for a flight school. My main point about Tailwheels etc is that they let students down REGULARY because of their inept management. They do not know how to organise a piss-up in a brewery.
Look on You Tube and you will see the management explaining why you should go to them for your PPL - Make your own judgement.

And my point was a older fleet doesn't mean jack.
Also they seem to always be rated highly by most pilot/student surveys.
I don't have a horse in this race, I'm an ATP/CFI and happly employed, I was just posting what I've read on quite a few sites.
Are you a private pilot? CPL?

Flight Schools Florida
I went to Sunstate Aviation for my FAA PPL and Twin rating. I work in the aviation sector and was impressed with the standard of maintenance, the condition of the aircraft and the instructors. They are a friendly bunch and will help you meet your objectives. They are based at Kissimmee airport, near Orlando.

South Florida
I am having the same trouble as many. I have been trying to find a flight school in south Florida for weeks in order to complete a CFI course.
Most of them never answer emails and if they do they only send a standard letter. when you ask for more information to include all the prices including test and exam fees, daily schedule and number of days a week NO ONE ANSWERS.
With 92 or so flight schools in Florida, surely there must be one that is more helpful, one that offers some sort of customer care, rather than treat you like an object on a factory conveyor belt.
I am looking for a small part 61 school or a private CFI teaching 1 to 1, any ideas ?

I don't want to sound simplistic, but have you tried to phone them? Maybe it would be easier to make contact that way and ask them then to email you the information you seek.
It just seems that some of these email addresses out there are rarely if ever checked. I had the same problem with my current position but after I phoned, things went rather quickly and a whole lot easier.
