Where's the news for the SW LGA crash?
There has been a lot more information about Asiana than Southwest even though they both happens in July. Could it be that SW is better at keeping things quiet? I, for one, would like to read the transcripts and see the 5 different videos the NTSB has of the accident.

it seems to have been resolved already, the captain was fired, the copilot retrained, the plane removed
I"ve seen the videos...imagine you could do a youtube search.
some airlines are really good at hushing things up...some get a team asap to the crash and paint out the name of the airline from the side of the plane.

All good points. As for videos, I've only seen the one from the pax point of view. I haven't seen any external, surveillance video. I still want to see the transcript and do not want SW to cover this one up. It's not enough that the captain was fired. I'm interested in finding out how she could have been allowed to fly for so many years with that attitude. Perhaps some check airmen need to "reassigned." There's a culture at SW that has to change before somebody gets hurt. This accident might expose that. It shouldn't be covered up.

Oh, let's not get so dramatic. It's not like she is the only "airperson" who was allowed to fly when she shouldn't have been. Furthermore, it's not like WN is the only airline with cracks in the seats that shouldn't be there.

NTSB Schedule
I don't know how much pressure WN can bring on the NTSB to cover anything up. They will do their investigation and publish their findings.
If you look at their schedule, Accident Investigations - NTSB - National Transportation Safety Board , the WN accident will probably be in published in January, followed by the UPS crash. I'm sure Christmas and New Year's have delayed the process some.
Just curious....why didn't you post this in the Rumors and News area where the WN 345 thread is located?
Happy New Year!
