ALPA, Stop moaning be realistic
Firstly, I am all for protecting jobs for the hard working men and women of any country, but isn't it time ALPA started lobbing the airlines and not complaining about everything that every overseas airline does.
If its not Emirates its Abu Dhabi pre-clearance.
Pre clearance is usable for anyone, so whilst its in Abu Dhabi, get the American airlines to fly there, maybe instead of Dubai, why not impart pressure on their members airlines not the Government.
The simple truth is that American jobs will not be lost by Emirates flying from Milan to JFK or Abu Dhabi's pre-clearance, these routes will be lost because the "newer" airlines offer a better service and newer bigger aircraft. Passengers pay our wages, and as such they get to vote with their feet.
The folks over at ALPA are in fact not helping the aviation industry but slowly killing it with their outdated views.
