Pay for PC or wait for a job

I am running out of currency. Do you think it is a good idea to pay for a recurrent PC in a sim or wait until I get hired.

Generally it would be a waste of money to pay for a 61.58 unless you have some work lined up that would clearly amortize the expenses. A reputable corporate employer will pay for your currency. It is the bottom feeder 135 operators that require currency.

If currency is required for you to get the job, then get the PC once you have the job offer. Otherwise, the organization may take care of it on their own. I would wait it out. Depending on what you fly, a 61.58 can cost close to 6-7K USD.
