They made a profit last year, the pay is good and they're furloughing like there's no tomorrow. Well, 2 out of 3 are good.

I've eared they are pulling out of the desert 3 classic and Boeing offered them 777F instead of the 748!

Hi!

A poster said there is a bid out this month which will recall the 30 or so furloughees (the last couple rounds of furloughs scheduled for last Spring were cancelled) and start off the street hiring.

They started a 747 PAX ops to West Africa, and are planning on expanding to MAC PAX contract flights (US military contracts).

They got the 3? 747-400 LCF contract from Boeing to fly the 787 fuselage sections last month.

All the 747-8s they have purchased are scheduled to start in service next year. They still have a few 747-200s for mil contract work.

An ex-coworker walked in my resume and said to expect a call "very shortly". Good news indeed.

Yes this week alone. I have heard that Kalitta, Southern air, Atlas Cargo, and Evergreen are all Recalling and Starting Hiring now if not already have been.

Good news for everyone.

I would think since Atlas got the LCF contract and Evergreen lost it, Evergreen is not going to need any more pilots for a while.

Hi!

This month, Allegiant, AirTran and ATI are all hiring. Kalitta still has some furloughees, last I heard, but they have been buying -400s.

Delta and JetBlue to hire at the end of the year (DAL not off the street, though, as they have lots of guys flowing through from Compass and Mesaba to DAL).

Hi!

Atlas started hiring in mar. new hires in class last month. 2 rounds of interviews completed already.

Delta interviewing in 2/3 months.

JetBlue started hiring last month.

Less and less US pilots now interested in going overseas each month going forward.
