Lightbulb Polar

Anyone who is actually working for Polar can give me some insight on the pay, days off, bases?

Is Polar still hiring in the -400?

TSG- Mate of mine is an FO for Polar. Last I heard, pay was about 38k PA plus per diem for a new FO. Bases are Long Beach and someplace in the midwest, i cannot remember. About 10 days off a month, the bloke said. And the last time i checked, may be wrong, they had no -400s. There was a write up of them in airline careers last year, you may want to check that.

Yes, Polar has a few -400. Dunno if they hire into the right seat of the glass jets.

They have an ALPA contract finally and the folks working there is fairly happy, although they want more pay in the next round of contract negotiaions.

Expect to be gone a lot and fly long hours.
Good job for a single guy.
