It's the same old story..commercial pressures that shouldn't make it past the cockpit door, often do...you'll never see an airline manager congratulate a pilot for holding, going missed,or diverting, but you sure will hear them bitch and moan when the crew does precisely that..they preach safety, and practice competition..and since most of the time it works out ok, it MUST be safe.
