Post non-US get a job with a Regional?

The header says it all. I have been working in the US as a flight instructor now for 2yrs on the J-1 visa program. I now have the hours for a regional and I'm wondering if I'm wasting my time trying to get in with an airline being a British citizen with no permanent residency here.
If you can help, please post or email.
Thanks all...

Unfortunately, yes you are. Without right to work in the USA, it's practically impossible to get any decent company to even interview you.

You might get work doing pt.135 charter/cargo ops, illegally of course, but no regionals will touch you. I've been there and done that! It might be that your J1 sponsor might be willing to extend your visa, but I think it only lasts for 6 months.

Best bet? Go down your local bar, chat up a few birds and marry one of them :-)
