Thumbs up Help an Aussie-It'll give you a warm inner glow.

Hi all
I need a bit of assistance here.
I'm trying to work out how many Aircraft are currently registered in the US. A search of the FAA database shows a number of about 31,000,000. I found this info here http://registry.faa.gov/microfiche/arreports.asp.
This can't be correct. That's a hell of a lot of Aircraft.
Does anyone have any idea?

Try "state & county" or "territory & country"

Have fun, seems like you have to add up the number of aircarft per state..

Just because they're registered doesn't mean that they're flying or even at an airport. Perhaps the database includes older registrations for aircraft that may have been scrapped. I don't think we have 31,000,000 registered. Check out www.aopa.org

They might have some good stats.

Now where's my warm inner glow dammit?
