Overlapping CTAF - different freq???

A couple of questions please about how CTAF work over there.

If two US airports are in close proximity (ie. within 10 NM) will they always have the same CTAF frequency?

If not, how does an aircraft flying within 10 NM of both decide which to monitor?

Do you use a tower freq for CTAF when the tower is not manned/womanned?

1) Only a limited number of CTAF frequencies, so its very common to have aircraft landing at different yet somewhat adjecent, uncontrolled airports on the same freq.

2) CTAF frequencies are listed so you know which to use.

3) At aiports that have towers that are closed, then they will usually use the tower freq as the CTAF.
