Getting Started in Aviation in the US of A

Hello,

Just some friendly advice required please. Where does one start looking to gain employment in the aviation industry in the US? I am not a US resident or a green card holder so require sponsorship by a US Company.

I am in engineering line and have tried looking at many of the airline sites. I was just wondering if any other people from outside the USD had managed to get work and how they achieved it.

Thanks.

With an engineering background you might have some luck with some of the manufacturers such as Boeing, Raytheon etc. I doubt you would fare as well with the Airlines, especially in light of the fact that many of them are laying off people right now.

Your best bet for a green card is to find a nice American girl (Yes, I know that might be an oxymoron) and marry her!

Thanks for info. I actually would need to meet a nice single guy and marry him to get a green card if all else fails.
