Ross Aviation-ABQ

Anyone know the details on Ross Aviation ? All I know is they have a couple of DC9's they operate on contract with the DOE, but not sure what sort of things they do. Secret squirrel maybe ? I think they advertised for some crews in the past but decided not to hire for some reason.

Anyone know more ? Thanks.

Wow! they're still around huh? Used to see their DHC-7 at ABQ 20+ yrs ago same contract...

A lot longer than that....

Ross started in the 1950's with DC-4's...and later F.27's.
An old company.

Yes, they still appear to be alive and well by the size of the organization I've seen on the web. Earlier this year, an unnamed organization advertised for 6 DC9-30 crews due to the addition of another DC9, with crew bases in NV and AZ, said crews would have to have a "top-secret clearance". Sure sounds like Ross, huh ? They subsequently postponed hiring plans until after the first of the year...this according to the jobs website that carried the original posting.

Hope they put the jobs up again.
