Blue Ridge Parkway

My thanks to Pax-D. M.85 and check 6 for their replies to my post about driving from SFB to DFW. Sadly we have decided to do that another day and have now settled on driving the Blue Ridge Parkway from 8th to 19th of next month.

We are going to spend a couple of days in ATL and Washington at either end but generally wander around in between.

So could I trouble anyone local in GA.NC.SC and VA to offer any advice and information on anything we should be aware of and also any aviation related sites, fields or museums that I could take in to liven up the trip. I guess Washington will have something to offer in that department.

Thanks again for your help.

BB

I've driven it several times, and I think it's great.

If you are on a tight time schedule, use another route, but you'll miss a nice trip.

Thanks for the replies.

We have from the 8th to the 18th with maybe a day or two in ATL before going to the Parkway and then maybe a day or two in DC before we fly DCA to ATL and home on the 19th. I guess we should have about a week to do the Parkway, is that enough?
