EVA Air Interview
I am going for an interview in Taipei on August 12, and would like to know more about EVA Air. I've searched their website for the basics but would like to know more.
If you know anything about domiciles, working conditions, pay, living in Taiwan, etc. I would appreciate it. Thanks in advance C Deahr |
Hi C Deahr,
May I ask how long it took for them to invite you to the interview? Sorry I dont have any info for you regarding your questions. Good luck for the interview! 777EfoH |
It was amazingly fast. 8 days to be exact. I downloaded the app from evaair.com filled it all out, included all the supporting documents they wanted and mailed it on July 22. The recruiter called on July 30th.

thanks for the info. i think i made a mistake by sending via email my resume instead.... did you apply to china airlines?
good luck! |
777, I also initially emailed my resume, but then I downloaded an 8 page application with flight time supplement and filled it all out. Notification was quick after I mailed it.
Interesting that you mention China Airlines, because the recruiter I spoke with on the phone made it a point to ask me if I had applied to China Airlines. I told that I had not, but I know that there is some tension between the Taiwanese and the Chinese. Anyway, go to evaair.com click on employment and download the 2 documents (app and flight time sheet). Mail it in and good luck. CDeahr |
Hi CDeahr,
By the way, China Airlines is the flag carrier of Taiwan not China. You must have mistaken for Air China. Cheers. |
Hi There !!
If you don`t mind me asking , what position did you apply for and what type of aircraft !! Would like to give it ago |
I think eva is ok in general and people are nice to work with. However, they are short of pension, job security and upgrading. If they would improve in these three points then they will be top of the list.

labor law in taiwan stipulate if you work in taiwan and have either reach 65 ( 60 for pilot) or have serve in the same company for 25 years and have reach 55- yu will be entitle to a pension.
expat have more security at CAL as EVA tends to layoff the expats first when need it. but, its their right, they have spent so much money on the ab-initials so, cant fault them. however, the flying itself is great, gooed airplanes. cheers |
in that case, could some one from eva leave for cal during the bond period? as per new taiwan law, employers can not force employees to bondage from better opportunities elsewhere. Any comment !

Gents,
There is very little info on Eva at the moment, can anyone provide info on the following; - Bond amount (I know its for four years) - Any education supplement for kids - Interview overview - anything else Cheers, fliion |
hello,
-Bond= $60,000 USD -I do not believe there is an education supp. I have heard rumours this may be in the cards in the future if you move your family to Taiwan. For now most foreigners commute -Check out willflyforfood.cc under EVA Air. Cheers, |
