Yep, exactly my point, Glueball, no assets to attach, even with a successful civil judgement.
Now, on the other hand have seen a TriStar successfully attached and held in KUL by a tour operator, who paid a large deposit, yet flights were not completed. The aircraft owners were forced to hand carry $330,000 to the court (in KUL) to obtain the aircrafts release...no checks accepted, not even a wire transfer was approved. The crew members for NEA are really between a rock and a hard place, and unfortunately not likely to get much satisfaction. |
At Swiss we got an email today about an L1011 start up flying to......Miami, Santiago de Chile, West Africa (Benin, Togo and Nigeria)
This company has a Yahoo email address, a PO Box in Europe, and a 747 (selfmade with MS paint) as a corporate logo. We are offered a partnership (and a job) in the company if we invest $50.000,- or more. Sounds a bit fishy and I remembered this thread. Does anyone have more info? Could this be the same outfit? For privacy reasons I have deliberately withheld any names and addresses. |
sounds familiar ?
Their businessplan has been sent to all Swiss-crew, so I assume I am not revealing any corporate secrets here.
Some quotes... Therefore we will operate with a seat configuration of 200 “C” on the L 1011-200. We also will build up a complete new reputation by over weight people who will travel with us much more comfortable then in all other aircraft for a “Y” ticket price. After approximately 1-2 months we will put the second L 1011-200 in service for transporting fish mainly to Miami. Does the above sound familiar to anyone ? To me the whole thing stinks to high heaven ! (fish!) |
Having flown to the USA (and Florida) as SLF on a number of occassions I have witnessed that food imports are very strictly managed - e.g. sniffer dogs, confiscations and fines. I presume the operators intend to freeze the fish and gain the necessary papers to import them.
How many people are there queueing up in Benin, Chad and Nigeria, desperate to get to Disneyworld??? I know there may be many wanting to get to the US for economic reasons, but traffic from Africa to Chile? (or was it Chile to Fla???) All in all it sounds like something that scumbag the Guvnor would have dreamt up. I say avoid at all cost! |
I have to say 411A that your patience with N/E management does you credit. When it comes to the workers you are never sparing with your criticism, with management I am amazed at your forbearance.
I have to say that I follow many forums on this site and your hypocricy (excuse the spelling) always leaves me ( and many others ) amazed. It really is about time you pulled your horns in and grew up. Bye Baby. |
Hello there BusyB,
If folks really want to get involved with the likes of NorthEast et al, 'tis strictly their business. Let the buyer beware...and the chips fall where they may. Would advise...barge pole length with these folks. Advised a few when these folks advertised for Africa...and now they wonder, where is 'd cash? |
I've heard John Poindexter has since moved out of Ft Lauderdale and back down to Miami?
Anyone know what he's upto now or what his latest tricks are? |
L-1011's sitting all over
Viva and John Poindexter have parted the sheets.
Am not sure for the exact reasons but John Poindexter and Viva are no longer friends. Last I heard John was still working on the NEBA project in Bolivia as that L-1011 is still there. JP is no longer in the Jet Center office at Suite 204. The L-1011 in OUA is still in it's resting place. A nice perch for the local African pidgeons. |
Northeast and Poindexter
Mr. P. is indeed still at the FLL Jet Center, just a new office I do believe it is #205. Viva and Mr. P. did part company in a flurry of office supplies, and nasty comments.
The Bolivia deal is still in the works, in the works yes, working maybe not! Northeast Bolivia vs Northeast Swaziland two different operations at this point. Stay tuned for possible new developments. |
Bolivian Startup Neba Begins Flying This Month
Aviation Daily10/09/2003 Northeast Bolivian Airlines S.A. (Neba) took delivery of the first of three 300-passenger Lockheed L-1011 Tristars and will begin operations this month with an initial staff of 25, says parent company Tristar Capital. Cochabamba-based Neba plans to provide regular and irregular flight services to other airlines in northeastern Bolivia and neighboring countries, including charters, special VIP flights and military transport. Two more L-1011s, with 28 seats in business class and 272 in economy, should arrive in the next few weeks. Fleet expansion also includes three 32-seat Dornier 328s to be used as feeders or for express services. Florida-based Flightstar Group will handle U.S. marketing. Tristar Capital arranged Neba's credit lines to underwrite maintenance, crew training and aircraft certification. -LZ |
NE Bolivian
Flying this month? Balderdash! They have no crews, no approval from the local Federales.....

"We are offered a partnership (and a job) in the company if we invest $50.000,- or more."
As a private pilot and with a non flying job my observations are... a You must be desperate to consider working under these conditions and with such shady characters as Mr P'Dexter et al. b You must be loaded with cash to think of throwing away 50K on such a venture. c Too much commercial flying obviously dulls the senses. d Aviation is not the only employment situation that attracts ar*eholes as Management. e Con Men are a fact of life since man/womankind emerged from the swamps. NEA Shysters?
My question is: Why on earth would anyone, pilot or cabin crew, take off for parts unknown without their own funds to return? If one is that desperate to fly, at least straighten out your finances before you depart. If you do not have enough money for the return fare, why go? Take a job cleaning toilets at the local FBO, save some bucks.
Pilots are supposed to be smart, not stupid. Going to Africa without money is stupid. Trusting Haj start ups is stupid. How can you expect people to be sympathetic to your woes? You had the choice to say no when offered the job. Did you sign a binding contract before you went? Did you ask for a return ticket up front? Did you ask for salary up front? Or were you just so desperate to fly that you trusted everyone and anyone? |
They are Back.. Just advertised on climbto350.com for L1011 crews under the name of Tri Star Capital LLC.
|
Yep, our company received an email from the Flitestar group...Mr.J.Poindexter...Fort Lauderdale! Northeast L10-11 available for Hajj.
|
Good information!
We will see him in Jeddah this Hajjah. Then we can collect the back salaries that he owes us. Will be great to see him in a country that does not support the laws that he hides behind in the good old USA. Bring a big wallet John. Salary day is finally here! But all of us that you owe money to would rather see you just go under a rock an croak than to see you cheat anyone else that has not heard of you. Can not even see how you can sleep at night knowing that you are getting ready to find some out of work pilot that needs the money an use an abuse him with no pay! You are a disgrace to aviation an the whole human race! |
Here's the L-1011 posted on their site:

John Poindexter and NorthEast,, not the same.
Earl, some info for you.
How have you been ? See you in Jeddah for a Shwarma soon? Just to re-inform you on the relationship between NorthEast Airlines, and Tristar Capital. The 747 project that had crews collected at the Crown Plaza Hotel in Jeddah for last year's Hadj, had nothing to do with John Poindexter and Tristar Capital. And the L-1011 that NorthEast operated last year for a short time, still remains in Ouagadougou, Burkino Faso, also had nothing to do with John Poindexter and Tristar Capital. Poindexter's L-1011 is sitting in Bolivia without an AOC. And yes, it is for sale. If a Hadj contract were to present itself, it could operate. He would pay NEA to use their AOC should that occur. The 747 Hadj project that was to utilize the former TransJet aircraft had nothing to do with Tristar Capital. That was between the former management of TransJet, Saudi Arabian Airlines, and an Egyptian businessman who brought in the Flight Attendants and operations staff. Is this starting to ring a bell,, bringing back some memories ?? I'd like to collect something for my hotel stay as well, and tried to do so from Saudia,, they said they had no contract with anyone and offered me a ticket home,, the least that they could do since they brought me there. If you are looking to collect for your hotel stay, John Poindexter and Tristar Capital is not the direction to look towards, neither he nor his company had anything to do with that project. See you soon, Inshala :8 |
That name - John Poindexter - is a 'blast-from-the-past'. Does anyone know if he used to work for Air Ecosse about 25 years ago??
