Over 100 pilots being put through the training system over the winter

3legs 7th August 2018 16:58

Ive heard from them and been offered an Interview and Sim assessment - Its using the EJet Anyone else?

Barcli 16th August 2018 09:11

3legs -do you mean the sim assessment is on the Ejet ? Is Southampton base a possibility or still a waiting list for existing guys ?

Jamie2009 16th August 2018 12:45

Yep the sim assessment is on the Ejet, a bit of YouTube and a computer flight sim will prepare you.
There so much movement that any base is a possibility.

Hi guys, have my sim assessment with Flybe on the 4th of September! Would anybody be able to provide an insight into the process and have any hints/tips?
Thanks in advance guys, Chris

Example - high and fast on approach. Execute a good side slip and they’ll pretty much sign you up there and then. Apparently the want to move away from magenta worship.

What a load of cr@p! Do that and they’ll show you the door.

I think (I hope !!) It was a joke ... Manual skill and food CRM, I agree ... Side slip ... Just bull!!!! !

Come on chaps, anyone with half a brain can see he was taking the mick.

Iver 24th August 2018 20:05

Sounds like several Q400 pilots recruited by TUI recently.

Count of Monte Bisto 25th August 2018 15:11

The nature of turboprop flying is that for most people it is a short-term necessity rather than a career choice. Do your time, get a few command hours and then get an A320 or B737 on your licence. Just do not hang about at FlyBe too long.

Barcli,

This is for the IOM base .. :)

hard_landing 26th August 2018 15:51

Any chance of an Exeter base for a new entry? I know this has been asked before but wondered whether the numbers leaving has affected the chances?

Barcli 26th August 2018 16:38

Barcli,

Folks, is there any recruitment going on for experienced FOs who don’t make the DEC requirements?

smith 9th September 2018 22:11

High and Fast

I was given the high and fast approach during the sim as well. Side slipped her in beautifully. Instructor was well impressed but failed me anyway.

Recruitment

Hi guys,

I was wondering if flybe gives second chance for guys who didn't make it initially in the Ejet sim.
I have reapplied recently just waiting to hear any response from them, any idea of when the next intake is for DEC.

Cheers.

Have you been watching the share price? Might be a worth looking elsewhere for a while.

nightfright 31st October 2018 23:11

agreed their share price is worrying. However a dropping sp gives rise to takeovers and the market value for what anyone can buy them at will be much cheaper but they have a strong balance sheet which means they can sustain and with changes the sp could come up. It’s still a flying job and if it goes - their crew will be picked up by RYR for sure!
