Norwegian is a labor relations disaster with potential for further unrest.

reasons people resign from NLH:

1) is obviously rostering, planning, etc... But more than all that it is the attitude of some people of those department (especially Replanning). They are arrogant, rude, incompetent and definitely not helpful, for them it is only going their way. They don't see it as a win/win situation.
2) is the contract : pension, social security, insurance...
3) is the salary : as we have no pension having significantly more to give us the chance to invest.

How they've got the balls to say the rostering is getting better is beyond belief.

I wonder how many F/O's will fall into their propaganda trap during the roadshows, EU bases and quick upgrades will be what they will try to sell.
They won't tell you about being hired by a Singapore agency, based in LGW on a cr@ppy temporary contract, on a horrible roster, being thrown all over the globe in a totally disorganized and random way by a bunch of ops amateurs.
As far as Captains are concerned I seriously doubt anyone working in the middle east would want to even come close to Norwegian.

"quick upgrades" ? yeah, the Contractor FO's on the 737 will give you a better idea than me . . . .depends what you mean by "quick" . . .quick like Ryanair ? or quick like SAS ?

Anyhow, suffice to say , most Contract FO's who came from Ryanair did not find it sufficiently quick, and on the 787, well, you have still DEC's (same prob as 737 ) and CRZ Capts in the way (with the CRZ Capts suffering the same blight as the 737 FO's I.E DEC's )

Believe nothing you are told at interview, truly, don't .

Pilots leaving Norwegian long haul /roadshows
 

I have heard that more than 30 pilots resigned and almost 40 reaching the end of their contracts in one month. No reasonable renewal contract have been offered but even worse T&C. I am going to attend a roadshow in April and wondering why so many are leaving.

I need some Infos about tax in uk. rishworth gave some figures for FO which are:
Gross pay £4150
Per diem: £830

Considering to come back from Asia and having a wife with no job, how much will be the net figures? Anyone in my same situation?
I don't have any clue about where to move my residency if is better to register my family in uk or Italy.
Please do not blame my choice I have to come back, my parents are getting old and one is sick, my wife wants to come back in Europe.

And yes, "The Norwegian Way" is perhaps not as you may be expecting it, if you had watched the cheesy recruitment/staff motivation videos so beloved of management with no intention of honouring the principles championed in them.

The €40000 is too much for an old dog line moi to shell out . As much as id like to fly the 787 , it still any other widebody twin. I cant leave my current repetitive but secure position for the unknown.
I'm sure its ok as long as it lasts ( 3 years) but too stressful if it goes south.
It seemed like the perfect job but all things considered, i wont be signing this contract .

Perfect Job except for the short contract, insecure employment, ever changing conditions, very very low pay, high taxes.......:8

As far as I know it is £7470 + £830 per diem. Figures from Rishworth.

The above figures are correct. Dont forget the allowances are upto £830 and must be claimed for duty time Ex UK ie layovers, on a daily basis.

It will be interesting to see what effect the US state Department travel warning has on the trans Atlantic travel market , the meat of NLH ( and BAs) profits.

For non UK resident, it's a big losse of incomes.
Do yo have in your Risworth contrat a protection against this devaluation.
The brexit in UK is soon what Will happen if the No is winner.
