Not familiar with the Jetstream 41 but is a 19 seat configuration an option?

CaptainCurmudgeon 8th February 2010 16:00

Yes.

Highland have one themselves.

newcomer 8th February 2010 16:49

If you get rid of the all but 19 seats your not required to screen passengers then cause your losing 10 pax you can afford to reduce the MTOW to 9999kg then your saving money on air service charges. That the reason Highland operated the JS41 with 19 seats.

jetstreamtechrecords 8th February 2010 16:51

19 seats saves the APD and is exec style rather than j31 cramped. No spar to trip over either:ok:

sk8erboi 16th February 2010 19:21

Were Highland the first to do this then in the UK? Hmmm wonder were eastern got the idea!!

IOMspotter 17th February 2010 17:20

Highland Airways are now taking bookings for all flights up until the end of March. what a shambles.

what else could the directors say. key thing is no bookings after march. that tells you lots:bored:

james170969 28th February 2010 20:50

Does anyone know why Highland Airways had a flight leaving Ostend this afternoon going to London? The flight number was HWY41B.

silverknapper 1st March 2010 08:43

Ad hoc charter work, as we have done for years. Why the curiosity over this one?

jetstreamtechrecords 2nd March 2010 06:04

Now you see why Lakey didn't want to go back down to get involved with J31's again . link up with Southwest insted.:ok:

Kiltie 2nd March 2010 07:49

For heaven's sake jetstreamtechrecords your anti-Highland / pro-Eastern remarks are so repetitive it is becoming boring.

sk8erboi 8th March 2010 07:41

If the warton service is now being operated by Eastern what happens to the Highway guys there? I assume that they transfer to eastern under TUPE, is this the case?

jetstreamtechrecords 10th March 2010 16:16

Sorry to tell u this Kiiltie but looks like the PSO contract is out to tender again and this time there will be other bids....:ok: Daily Post North Wales - News - North Wales News - Airlines invited to bid for Anglesey North-South air contract

:ugh::ugh::ugh::ugh:

jabba the c 12th March 2010 09:36

Hello sk8erboi,

speaking to the warton guys it seems a tupe attempt by highland has
failed due inability to follow procedure. Eastern don't want to know
and neither do highland.

Several of the chaps have young families and now not only are highland
refusing to pay them but nor can they claim insurance/jobseekers
allowance or get other work as they are still 'employed'

Interesting post above.

Highland seem to have stopped updating the staff as of the last few weeks, anyone know what is going on?

Say again s l o w l y 23rd March 2010 21:18

I've just been having a beer with a Highland pilot and he knows as little as anyone else.

My fingers are still crossed for everyone, but I'm starting to get properly worried now.
