Thanks Bellerophon, it's good to have an idea on what to expect. I'm just counting down the weeks now! Really looking forward to it.
Thanks again for all the information.... LC :ok: |
To be quite honest, so many people want different things on the fleet I think you will find your work quite varied. We don't do a huge amount of East Coast and at the start its often good to do some two crew stuff to get used to the aeroplane.
NRT is a high credit trip which is never popular and people at the bottom of the list often see LAX, SFO, GRU, HKG etc. The only thing you will have to accept for a while is a lack of week-ends off, other than when you have leave or a DFW. It's a great fleet, a lovely aeroplane to fly, and as you are pushing me further up the list you are more than welcome!! |
I like JFK. Just as well, I've been there a lot! |
A great thread with some great info.
Just in case this is an issue.. 3. We do month long standby blocks which can include no home standbys or you may get quite a few. You will be called the night before between 5 and 8 and they will give you a trip or standby, if they don't call you're off. Home standbys should be within 2 hours of LHR. |
What is the seat-lock requirement for BA newhires? So, if you get hired onto the 747-400 fleet, what is the minimum amount of time you will spend on that fleet?

5 years, unless the company needs you to go somewhere else.
