Yes they are.

Not totally sure about the deal, I think it is £6K up front followed by the rest out of your salary for 3 years. I believe the total is £15K and you get paid whilst training but I'm not 100% sure.

Durn-ford.

Training payment thingy is:

bmibaby Self Sponsorship Type Rating Scheme

Any pilot requiring type rating will be required to reimburse the company for the cost of the appropriate course. The courses available will vary, from time to time, however the current options are a) full conversion course, and b) -200 to -300/800 differences course. The principle is that an initial up front payment will be made prior to commencing the course, followed by a monthly contribution from salary (after tax and other deductions) until the outstanding amount has been repaid. If a pilot leaves the company's employment prior to repaying the full amount owed, their final salary payment will be withheld until funds have been deposited and cleared to repay the outstanding amount.

The current course details are as follows:
a) Full Conversion
£15000 - £3000 up front, followed by 36 monthly payments of £333.33

b) -200 to -300/800 Difference Course
£9000 - £2000 up front, followed by 21 monthly payments of £333.33

The cost of such a scheme is subject to change at any time.

Sorry Gary, I meant will they be hiring rated FO's in the near future? Never any responce from their website :ugh:

acbus1 23rd December 2005 06:54

Never any responce from their website
Perhaps some of the prospective applicants should ask themselves if that lack of response gives a valuable insight into the state of the company.

alterego 23rd December 2005 10:16

Acbus... You are getting very boring!

The reason that you are not getting a response is that the company receive loads of applications from people with personal recommendations. These people have been able to get interviews quite quickly.

Management are very busy.

sjm 23rd December 2005 17:28

I went for interview few weeks ago and start on the 31st jan, type rated and bonded for one year £6K. Have a mate at Man whos very happy and doesnt seem to hear many complaints

Brushtype4 23rd December 2005 18:28

The baby Chief Pilot emailed all baby crews today and implied that recruitment for the three new aircraft in the 2006 programme was now complete?

I can only assume that they don't have the staffing levels to respond to everyone's job application?

There are currently only two basic salary scales for pilots in baby, one for Skippers and the other for F/O's.

ABCUS 1

Its Xmas !!! give it a break, your posts are far from objective and add nothing to the thread. or all the other bmi threads that you "dis" as a matter of routine.

I would like to nominate you for the award of number one "Anti bmi " poster of the year, any one care to second me.

Viktor:cool:

I will!

I'm not the management's biggest fan but even I realise that you don't gain by constantly knocking others. All you do is hack of your supporters.
