Who should I apply to next?
Just though that I'd landed the best job in aviation (Emirates) but as all of you know, the grass is never greener. Or in our case the sand is never browner.
So where are the best aviation jobs to be found? 9,000 hours total, 2,000 hours wide-body command plus 1,000 hours heavy turbo-prop command and JAR licence. Ex-mil fast jet and training quals to boot. That should all count for something? |

The best job is the one paying the bills.
There will always be a "better" job, but after a while you'll again notice the grass looking to be greener on the other side. You and me and thousands of other pilots are just waiting to find that "next better" job |
For new guys into civil aviation, it doesn't really matter WHERE your first job is, the trick is to GET a first job. I too came from the military, albeit fast jets, and found the first year, on turboprops, invaluable in getting used to the very different way of operating.
You then have a breathing space while getting experience and paying off the bills without eating into your gratuity, while you look round for something you really want. |
SecurID, pilotpointer.com has about 10 or more job websites, maybe that'll help. What is your beef with Emirates? I was interested in going there.
