Was at Gatwick Yesterday and took this photo of G-CCMA. I know most ex-EAAC people will not have flown on this as it was only used on the Malaysian Hajj Flights. It was aquired from Virgin in December 2003 from Virgin (G-VCAT). The aircraft has not moved from this location at LGW since it arrived back into LGW from KUL on March 7th 2004.

I have just had this e-mail to me from a former collegue, it has come from Moore Stephens and I thought I'd share it with you all.
LJ European Aviation Air Charter Limited - Company Voluntary Arrangement Employee Claims Statutory Claims This is the claim that is made to the Redundancy Payments Office by submitting a RP1 Form. The redundancy payments office make payments on the following: Arrears of Wages Arrears of wages will be paid up to the statutory limit of £270 per week. Holiday Pay Any outstanding holiday for the year will be paid on a pro-rata basis and again capped at the £270 per week. Pay-in-lieu of Notice Statutory pay in lieu of notice is paid at 1 weeks pay for each years service, this again is capped at £270 per week, to a maximum of 12 weeks. Redundancy Pay Redundancy pay will only be paid to those employees who have worked at the company for 2 years or more. Redundancy is then paid at 1 weeks pay for each complete year, this rises to 1 ½ weeks pay over the age of 45. It is not paid to those over 64. Again the statutory limit of £270 per week applies. These monies have now been paid by the Redundancy Payments Office in Birmingham. Should you not have received any monies please phone the RPO help desk 0121 456 4411. Preferential Claims Preferential claims for employees are wages and holiday pay ( less any monies received from the RPO for these areas ) The maximum limit for a preferential wages claim is £800. Any balancing preferential claim will be paid in full. We are aiming to get preferential claims paid in June subject to receiving all claims. We are currently lodging peoples proof of debts forms therefore should you not have returned yours please do so. Unsecured Claims This is effectively any other claims. For example, wages and holiday pay over the preferential limit, pay in lieu of notice, expenses. We anticipate payment of 6.1p in the £. It is unclear at the moment whether there will be sufficient funds to make any unsecured payments in the June dividend. This may be later in the year/beginning of next year when the remainder of the money due in the CVA is received. Again Proof of Debt forms must be lodged. Hope this is of some help. Please ensure that you complete a Proof of Debt Form and send it to ourselves at: Moore Stephens Corporate Recovery Beaufort House 94-96 Newhall Street Birmingham B3 1PB These are attached at the back of all previous correspondence sent by ourselves. Please split your claim into the following categories in order for us to identify your preferential and unsecured claims: Arrears of Wages Holiday Pay Pay in lieu of Notice Redundancy Flight Pay Expenses Other ( please state what claim is ) |

Hi All
Just to remind all you ex-EAAC people that today is the last day you can register to take EAAC and Paul Stoddart to an employment tribunal. If you go to www.employmenttribunals.gov.uk and follow the links you can do it there. LJ |

How many a/c are EAL flying these days? What types?
|
It looks like nearly all the 737s are still flying!!! Two for Palmair, two for BMI baby, one at STN, one as a Grand Prix transport for the Minardi team. Also one has been doing Ryanair flights from Bournemouth. A 747 is still occasionally flying. This one resides at Bournemouth Hurn (G-BDXE). The other Jumbos are all stored. Two at Filton XF and XH. One at Manston XJ one at Bournemouth XG one at Amsterdam XO which never entered service. One at LGW G-CCMA which only did the Hajj. Another one G-CCMB didn't arrive at all and is stored at San Antonio in the US.

So are they running on skelaton staff?.
I heard Stoddard Bought 1000 Concorde seats and is storing them in BOH hanger, so he must have money?.. any reason why he isn't paying up? (other than he's a bastard?) |
747 Update
G-BDXE Flying G-BDXF Parked at Filton G-BDXG Flying G-BDXH Flying G-BDXJ Parked at Manston G-BDXO Parked at Amsterdam G-CCMA Parked at Gatwick G-CCMB At San Antonio, Texas Not sure on the 737 fleet but the majority are still flying. I have heard a rumour that EAAC are allowed to fly in and out of Gatwick again, can anyone confirm this? If it is true then what is going on with G-CCMA that has been parked up since the 7th March? As EAAC are activly re-employing former crew at the moment, have any of them been paid what they are owed as there is a rumour they have been? Not heard the one about the concorde seats though! LJ |
