I joined a start up and it lasted 12 years :ouch:

EAM 8th Jan 2017 11:05

The figures are the basic ones with more or less no experience and you are mistaking the nominated capital of the company with the budget (or what ever the exact english word would be for that).
If they would only have 300.000€ than they would be bankrupt by now.

TugaFly 8th Jan 2017 13:37

Those figures are really low for an experienced 767 FO, if you deduct 45% German tax.
Does anyone know what stage is the AOC approval at?

safelife 8th Jan 2017 13:47

The good news is that with a low salary like that you're not going to hit the 45% tax rate. More like 32%, even less when married.
If parts of the salary are paid tax-free (possible) the tax load will be even less.

lear999wa 8th Jan 2017 14:43

Shocking, this makes NLH pay look amazing. Where is this going to end.

EAM 8th Jan 2017 18:05

As it was stated, the salary starts at 3500€ but these figures are neither for experienced nor for 767 rated pilots.

TugaFly 8th Jan 2017 18:24

Salary

Any idea of the basic salary for a rated 76 driver?

EAM 8th Jan 2017 19:20

You pay "only" 42% and per diem are not taxed in Germany and there is a tax free payment due to night and shiftwork.

EDDT 8th Jan 2017 20:20

Oh you guys stop confusing everyone.

Tax in Germany is progressive! That means there is different tax brackets. Example: If you earn 100.000€ brutto a year, your effective tax is about 33%.
And 1,8% solidarity surcharge, that is for rebuilding eastern Germany after the communists. Then there is social security.
The 45% that float around are put together of 42% tax, a little bit solidarity surcharge AND social security (which covers unemployment) . But these 45% only apply to the Euros earned above approximately 65000/year.

I dont know why its constantly repeated here, how high tax in Germany would be. Income tax rates is much higher in many other EU-states..The highest bracket being often more than 50%. And VAT in Ger is below avg 19% too.

So what does the CPT salary which was stated above of 8000 brutto a month give net? Being insured in the public healthcare system (you can use a private insurance if you like to) it is 4300€. little? Yes. Every short haul FO that I know makes more.

Simple Tax calculator: https://www.bmf-steuerrechner.de/ekst/?

EDDT 8th Jan 2017 20:23

The taxation of per diems is partly taxable. But we are talking some plus/minus 100€ a month here. Thats peanuts.

EAM 9th Jan 2017 09:54

Every short haul FO that I know makes more.
Then you don't know any FOs from Aerologic :E

If you are a wide body CPT you will make about 8500-9000€ flying 60h per month. Depending on your experience it will be more, about 10.000€ flying 90h plus per diems. NLH Cpt makes about 10500€ including per diems, so not great, but not that bad.

42% taxation applies to the income above 54.000€ up to 260.000€ :E
The german tax system isn't that easy, but I guess that most of the people they are hiring are german, so they know about it.

hph304 16th Jan 2017 14:34

Any word on requirements (76 experience, Total time)?

EAM 16th Jan 2017 15:20

safelife 16th Jan 2017 15:53

Being rated on type seems to be more appreciated than being from the region.

EAM 16th Jan 2017 17:03

Absolutely. Will be interesting to see as a start up usually requires a bit of flexibility.
But how flexible can you be living in Lisbon, Rome or London with no staff travel?

TugaFly 31st Jan 2017 17:48

It looks like they can't find enough pilots for they're operation.
But good news they'll fully fund the Type Rating.

EAM 1st Feb 2017 10:54

I understand your point of view, but it is not exactly as you say.
Of course they take the guys they know from Privat Air and EAT, but the reason why some had to do the whole thing and others just the interview is, that most of the candidates have done the Test with Interpersonal or DLR before, same with the SIM and as Interpersonal does the assessment for EAT and I think also for Privat Air, all those guys did the test and the SIM that you just did a few years ago for another company and they are using these datas.
So it is not as easy as you say. But you are right, they take the people they know, which is not unusual for a start up company.

Ride On 1st Feb 2017 11:41

Yes they fully fund type rating only to their friends and relations.
Azur Air - Germany are just trying to justify why they need to do Zeee type ratings for their friends...!

Mate of mine was at a recent assessment, waisted their time and money to find out that all the jobs where gone already to all their friends.... I walked in and it was like walking into a old school network/reunion party...? Really...! Everybody know each other already and a small hand full of outsiders got different treatment.

The day was broken up into 3 stage, knowledge assess, sim then interview...
All the pilots that were in the know just turned up for Tea and biscuits chat/ interview, no sim and no tec assess for them and only about 5 of the 30 people that turned up had to go the whole process because they apparently the other 25 where a know previous quantity....? BullSxxxx. So what if they did their assessment before the whole idea about an assessment is about your current abilities, we all did harder assessments than that one in the past but we did not get a "Free Token"......?

No Equal opportunities here...?

Really there were guys there with half my experience that knew the management and got the EASY day out, no sim and no tec exam for them..? Why waste my time and money...? Then us 5 un fortunate's figured out that they were trying to justify that they need to show that they cant get type rated pilots so Azurair can pay for type ratings for their friends...?

Thank you for Confirming (EAM) that the Zeee recruitment Mafia/company was a complete scam, that was recruiting on their behalf on Azur Air.......! If they have all their buddies on board already why waste decent people's time/money/etc so unprofessional.......!

They even made a joke about their next recruits planned for Feb/March assessment stating "Oh we will look at the crazy Russians" etc....... The whole thing was a complete JOKE to them......!

Thank you for your imput "EAM", your obviously from "EAT" and you were one of the Chosen "Goodfellas"....... Enjoy Dusseldorf.......!

Aviod this Airline unless you have friends in Zeee management ( as EAM previously said Private air and EAT employee's).....! Dont waste your time and your money cos they wont pay any of your expense's during the assessment/ cheapskates/scammers etc.......!

Zeeee Persistence is Futile..........!

EAM 1st Feb 2017 14:49

I am neither from EAT nor from Privat Air and it was the first time I met the Azur guys.

So apart from not being one of their friends, maybe you just didn't perform well enough, don't forget, your are quite old and not used to these assessments.
And please, don't call it Nazi recruitment, that is a very harsh.

Ride On 1st Feb 2017 15:08

Off Course I understand "EAM" the Truth Hurts.......!

Here they are false advertising again, so they can put their Non Type rated friends on Type rating course's.
I hope somebody from the Azurair Head Office - Anex Tourism Group gets to read the true facts.....

Meanwhile their are plenty of suitably qualified and current B757/B767 type rated pilots around Europe happy to start work with them tomorrow but apparently the Zeee jobs dont exist..?

Not worth applying since the jobs are all gone already.......!:ugh:

Immediate Entry 15th Feb 2017 - NON RATED or RATED F/O B767 (Dusseldorf)-Latest Pilot Jobs-Latest Pilot Jobs

Did anyone went to the interview yesterday? Any updates on pay, roster and routes?
Thanks

Andre78 4th Feb 2017 02:44

mee too

wondering about any details of the yesterdays assessments, payments,,roster, etc.

anyone been there to,offer some info?

Ride On 8th Feb 2017 16:49

You require Details really....?

As before don't apply to this scam outfit, pre designed for Zeee groupies only....

Don't bother applying ....! Save your money and your time, stay clear...!

pilotman330 8th Feb 2017 20:58

It is always difficult when joining a brand new airline. All I can say is that the manager is someone that you can trust on and that keeps his commitment. His team has to be reliable and of course he asked his former "favorite" colleagues to join his team. It is far from easy to launch an airline and I wish them a successful story.

If you want to join, you will certainly be facing tough roster at the beginning but I am sure, when everything will be set up, conditions will improve continuously. A small airline like this should take care of their employee to be successful and I think they knows what to do.

EAM 9th Feb 2017 10:10

Unfortunately I can not agree with that.

any news/update?

flyhigh788 30th Sep 2017 09:33

How much does a FO take home a month net and how about the conditions for NTR FOs regarding the funding of the TR?

flyhigh788 20th Oct 2017 09:24

Anyone has some information?

B738 2nd Nov 2017 10:31

Could someone give me any information about their assessment as DEC?
I got invited for a "pilots day" at the end of the month and would like to know what I should be prepared for ;-)
Furthermore I got some documents about the 737-500, does anyone know where the screening will take place?

Ronand 5th Nov 2017 01:09

I have been invited as DEC nonrated, however after having talked to an ex colleague of mine, that I can trust, who actually works there now, I have decided to cancel the interview! Apparently the roster is a mess, planes are very old they fly short and longhaul without inflight entertainment :ugh: And the salary is very very low. As a direct entry captain nonrated he clears about 5300eur net after german taxes :D After having spoken to him on the phone I decided not to waste my time and money on the assessment. Typerating is fully funded, thats the only positive I guess.

EDDT 20th Nov 2017 18:05

After a year of looking for pilots they are still desperate. Maybe bump up the bad payment & conditions?! Now they offer DEFO straight to CPT Upgrade.
