Anyone know the T/C? Base etc.

buduci kolega 21st Jul 2009 19:35

Base Bacau or Bucurest, for now at least. Conditions? Not so sure.
I know they're expanding.

Maybe someone can shed more light. Sorry :8

What I heard, the salary is low...as low as 3k EUR for capt. :}

But this is half year old information. Maybe it is different now.

airman13 22nd Jul 2009 21:56

as I know, base salary is 3500 E +135E/flight for captains.

niss 23rd Jul 2009 06:35

Thanks for you quick answers.

tflier 23rd Jul 2009 16:53

I think you'll find that the salary is 6,500 euros plus 1600 euros flying pay...per month, if you have 4000+hours on b737 or equivalent. accomodation paid for at base. Free tickets on their network. Also, overtime at 80 euros an hour over 80 hours per month.

I would love to believe that, but I think that doesn"t square up with how things are in Romania.
Generally, those working in professional positions are paid pre-revolution salaries but alas (at least in Bucarest) EEC prices prevail (certainly for accomodation ) . I would be delighted (as the other half is Romanian . . . . but she assures me Bucarest is even more of a sh1thole than in 89 :hmm: think EEC money was "diverted" ) to be proved wrong, but I doubt it somehow.

The salary info was given to me by the company's hr department. As was sim screening details. Not rumours but posted facts.

This thread should be linked to Jetstream31-Romania thread. Same company.

GLYCOREX 25th Jul 2009 16:33

Anybody know if they do not need First Officers?

Anybody know if they do not need First Officers?

Seems to be a company that is expanding well,
right-chair should also be well filled up?

captplaystation 27th Jul 2009 12:12

tflier, are these figure before or after tax, and are you engaged as a full time employee, or contractor ? thanks :ok:

tflier 27th Jul 2009 16:51

The pay is net! Employed as a contractor, initially for one year.

baba70 27th Jul 2009 17:03

1st Officers

Yes! does anyone have info if they looking for FOs?

captplaystation 27th Jul 2009 17:36

I sure hope that there isn't some confusion here between the Euro & the RON.
If you google average salaries in Romania by profession you will find that Airline pilots are at the top of the pile with a little less than 6000 (RON ! ) per month before approx 43% deductions.
8100 RON = 2000e.
What is written on the web and by some here would tend to suggest that the 6500 & 1600 is in the right ballpark but the wrong currency.
If they are really paying 8100e & accomodation & overtime two things are certain. 1 -They will be inundated with applications & 2 - their full time guys are going to cause a riot if Johnny foreigner arrives and earns 4 x as much.
This sounds (on the face of it ) too good to be true, usually if it smells of "you know what" there is some present (or just some confusion  )
I would be delighted to be proven wrong, but knowing the "economics" of Romania something doesn't add up.
The market is flooded with 737 guys, why pay your contractors 4 times the average full time salary ? (even for 1 year)

tflier 27th Jul 2009 18:10
