Jet4You Roaster in Casablanca
 

Hi everybody,first time in the Forum!
Does anybody knows how is the roaster like in Casablanca? Can you ask for blocks of days off? I might be going there soon

Worst Roaster from June to end Sept, temperatures up to 40'c. More of a gentle simmer for the rest of the year.

The roster is terrible. Youll be stuck in Casa all time except the two time 4 days off pr month.
All other days where you are not flying, you are on Blanc days. Meaning standby from 0600 until 2100. Ewen when you need rest acording to the rules.
Frederic Smet is trying to change it to 6 days on, 2 days off, 7 days on 2 days off.
The most hated man in Marocco.

Recruiting was done previously through Contractair, PARC also had a finger in the pie, and AFAIK the finger was a bit deeper buried, beware! same job less dosh. (for you :hmm: )

Find another place to work. There are no communication what so ever with the young boy who call himself DFO.

why dont you tell people that they need to check out of the hotel when they are not working?
So they stand on the road or has to pay for the hotel? As the DFO want?
Or why don't you tell them that they need to sign a paper accepting to obey OMa even though it is not according to the FTL. And not "Flight Tolerance Levels" as written in your contract. FTL means Flight time limitations.

Their roaster is like a rollercoaster.:E

Blanc day = 24 hours standby in jet4you. Anybody that thinks otherwise is living in a Belgian dreamworld.

Flight directors on for TKOF please:= and have the aircraft stable at 500'

Why would one have to put FD's ON for Take-Off?! Can't you fly your aircraft without it or what? And if so, are you maybe not in the right job?

Are you one of those 250 hour cowboys that I have to fly with???
If so rent a light plane on the weekend and fly how you like. It's all about safety not your ego. :ugh:

And folks you read it here first... excellent advice from another simulator pilot who has never moved the control wheel more than one unit left or right other than their base training:rolleyes:.

Can anyone tell me how JET4YOU get away with having pilots being on 24 hours standby.
This is exactly what you are on if you are on a blanc/ Open roster.

I have never heard of this in any other airline.

Do the Morrocan authorities really approve this or are they having the wool pulled over them.

The so called "blanc day" is a relict from the old FTL. The new FTL, in place since almost a year now, allows, however, exactly the same procedure if hotac standby is scheduled. The definition for hotac standby can be used also as home standby.
Only in the case of airport standby is a time frame for standby required.

Is there any airline in Morocco which is not using the "blanc day" procedure?

This problem of interpreting the FTL is not only a Jet4you problem, it is certainly a DAC induced situation as the intro of the new FTL in November last year has not been done in a proper way. There is no explanation nor guideline published. And since the union is busy with the nationalization issue, the airlines introduce more and more unwritten rules on how to read and understand the FTL.

21 hrs duty, are scheduled, 29 hrs duty are not rare, resetting the 7-day limits to 0 hrs after the 36 hr rest period, 1 hr check-in timings also, certainly for most airlines with base Casablanca, 1.5 or 2 hrs are more realistic etc.....

And in the case of Jet4you, don't forget that politics, schedules and other important issues are solely set and determined in Zaventem.
