Yes, IAA thank you.

Or maybe the Latvian "authorities" in the near future, make sure you bring a big bag of "lats".

Just two items:

An Observation - Ryanair are cancelling flights due, they say, to the Boeing strike. Interestingly, the need to cancel flights ends at the begining of April (when pilots hours are zeroed again). Is this not a bit much to be asked to believe (and surely it will have a further delaying effect on training)?

A Question: has anybody who checked up with the IAA, or whomever, got an answer about the acceptability of the gap between completing simulator and starting / finishing line training?

Ryanair pilot bulletin board

Hi All,

Thanks for the interesting responses. I do understand that Ryan has a very different way of approaching business and generates a lot more in-house complaints than the older, more employee-freindly model of running airlines. We have this same phenomenon occurring in the U.S. now. I think that for the foreseeable future, we pilots are just going to have to throw away our memories of being pampered with vacation and sick leave, minimum pay guarantees, cushy rest requirements and the like; the new terms are stark by comparison.
But there was one thing that caught my eye: why is Ryan cancelling flights in early April, if that's when the clock is reset on pilot flight time for the year? Where did that info come from anyway?

Cheers, Jim

P.S. Unrelated to the previous discussion, I have a question: is there a good online bulletin board for Ryanair new-hires and contract pilots to post things like apartments to share near EMA, transportation, useful info and the like? I did contact REPA and am awaiting approval on that forum.

The info can be found on theRyanair Website

and according to them they are only cancelling flights Jan-March. How coincidental :* :suspect:
