Angry Easy to lease in crew from Transavia

Apparently EasyJet can't get enough pilots to fill the seats. Therefore they are leasing Cockpit crew from 'competitor' Transavia.

What they mean is...there aren't enough pilots willing to pay they’re own type and therefore have to resort in hiring qualified (who would normally sneer at Easyjet).

Gents and Gent-ets, the firing range is open.....place your bitts.

Sounds odd...... 40 pilots were just laid off at my company, where at least 30 are 737 qualified and current. Several have applied to easy, but have not been called........

Perhaps they are temps to allow exiting Easy pilots to go on the 319 course?

Maybe no connection here, but tonight we saw a 737 in MSP (US) with a "Euro" flag (dark blue with a circle of stars) and what appeared to be a small Dutch flag, both near the left rear exit. And the plane had a good bit of green paint on both sides of the fuselage, with the name 'Sun Country' on it. Sun Country Airlines has been based for years in MSP, but most of their 737s seem to have the purple and orange colors.

Devil

Some of you guys are from a different planet.... Pointer is of the mark completely..

Easy has a short term problem while training guys to the A319. They still want to move RHS to LHS but they fill the short term gap with contract pilots. There are plenty of guys willing to join Easy jet it is just a lack of training capacity at CTC..

IO, that aircraft is on dry lease.

Does anybody happen to know which leasing agency easyJet is going to use for the temp contracts?

If so, do you have any information as to how many days off the crews will get? Could it be better than their current "6-3" (or 7-2)?
