Airside Pass Referencing
Hi all,
I've applied for a role at Heathrow airport. I read that you need to have gaps of no more than 28 days. I've got a gap of around six months where I wasn't in employment and didn't claim any benefits etc. I understand that this means I will need a gap reference. Would this just be someone who I saw regularly to write a letter? I also read that you need to show how you supported yourself financially during this period. Can anyone who's done referencing at LHR help? How would I prove this? I was supported by my wife who paid the bills during flying training and she covered shopping and other expenses.

If you were at a fight school for six months then this isn’t an issue at all, you were effectively a student. Six months just vanishing off the face of the earth would be more of a problem.

Probably to be moved elsewhere on the forum but I noticed you said ‘flying training’

Cheers. Not talking about a gap while training. Gap was about six months after finishing training while searching for jobs.
