Converting EASA ATPL to a UK CAA one

I would like to ask what is needed to convert an EASA ATPL to a UK one.
In the airline I work, all the UK colleagues have left for jobs in the UK with much better T&C. The ones with EASA licenses are still struggling to find a better company...
As far as I know, a UK visa can be sponsored

If you passed your ATPL exams in 2020 or earlier and have 500 hours on type then you only need a medical and an LST.

I did, thanks a lot!
I have an A220 TR and the UK jobs I am interested are about A320, B737, A350 and B787
500 hours on type do you mean a specific one of just any type that complies with ZFTT?

(I believe) you need 500 hours on type to get that type on your CAA licence with just a test. Less than that and you need to do a type rating course.

Route 5 or 6 depending on whether you've previously held a UK licence

Hi,

We have published a post about licence conversions. ICAO to EASA, and FAA to EASA.

There is note at the end for UK licence holders, in certain cases your ATPL Theory exams can be still valid for conversion, so check it out if you want.
