TLV flight compensation

Hi,

if your company flies to TLV (scheduled flights), do you get any special compensation? Do you have the right to refuse such flights?

We flew to TLV all the time, just interrupted the ops for a few single days. No crews were ever forced to fly there, so on voluntary basis only. We do receive a bonus flying there.

That is interesting. How the bonus is justified?

How is the bonus justified? Well, once more, we flew there all the time after 7th of October! If crews need to evacuate the airplane to go in a shelter because of a rocket attack, that is not normal operation. Beside the spoofing, GPS jamming…I mean honestly, watch the news and you should get the answer to your question. Also ask yourself if TLV would be the place to go with your family at the moment for a vacation!? Probably the answer would be no, even so, there are beautiful beaches, but still you wouldn’t be comfortable.

Risk premium for operating in a war zone.
Not the only place where this happens.
