RYR DEC
Hi guys,
I am one of those who participated to the RYR assessment last summer. I was told I passed the sim and in a few days I will be told about the base and stuff, but no news at all. Last december they had a webinar for wannabe's saying there was no place for DECs out of UK. Do you guys have any info about that?
Thank you!

Hi.
There are captains in the holding Pool with no News since summer. Probably they are going to start calling soon. Let’s see what is going on during the spring. They are needing UK Captains now.
all the best !!

I think you should rephrase that to "Many senior FO's are leaving due to the conditions" Some skippers will be leaving too, J2 just announced 9% pay rise.

Hi, colleagues, I have recently passed assessment and was given to choose summer bases in Spain or Malta. Does anyone know the 75% contract terms and exact salary for it in Spanish bases? As it is very hard to get any info from HR... Still waiting for an answer.

It's very difficult to reach HR. Anybody knows if the new contracts are going to be with less money than the actual pay and When are they going to start calling for OCC date?

Most of the FOs I have met who are leaving have all pretty much said the same thing to me anyway.
They are all very young (20s some 30s) and before they do the command, get the golden handcuffs and enjoy the left too much and can't face the thought of going back to the right and flying with those Capts that every FO knows their retirement date - they want to experience long haul.
Also all the FOs who have passed assessments for the ME carriers are being told by the recruiters tell all your Ryanair mates, get them out here and there pretty much in. They love the FR product. Used to strict SOPS, easy to train and of course tax free money.
However they have also worked out their exit strategy before they go well the smart ones have as they know even if they get a command on long haul they are not coming back to Europe to get the LHS in any established LH carrier with seniority and doing LH out of Leipzig or Liege or ACMI is not an option.
So they are keeping their noses clean while they leave as the ones I have spoken to anticipate coming back at some point as DEC 737 with Ryanair.
These are just the ones I have met.
