it really was a sorry state of affairs. the statements coming from the management about the strategy working etc was truly shocking. this is a great example of certain people in high salaried positions who had no clue how to run an airline. awful for the great staff they let down.

I guess so you can read and despair of the quality of airline management who drove a viable, if tricky, business into the ground, while filling their own pockets. There will probably be a sister thread for Thomas Cook management.

Your point is ? Merry go round of board positions isn’t unique.

My understanding was the business was marginal, and a lot of routes only existed becuase our railways are rubbish.

coupled with vanity jet introduction, on crazy leases ?

certainly.......I travelled from BHX - NCL. It was a lot quicker than the train and cheaper .
