fair enough. I think we can safely say we all hope for other solutions than redundancies in Italy however difficult that might look at the moment. Strong unions with a strong social system will help the process. Tough times indeed.

What to believe? Who to believe?
Covid 19 does exist.
Did it come from a bat or a lab? Who knows.
Did someone die with Covid or of Covid? Who knows.
Have we overestimated or underestimated deaths? Who knows.
Are PCR and lateral flow tests reliable or not given the false positive and negative rates are unknown? Who knows
Will it mutate into something worse? Who knows.
Will the current vaccines work on mutated strains? Who knows.
Can it be transmitted by asymptomatic carriers? Who knows.
How effective are the current vaccines going to be? Who knows.
The only true metric which can be relied on is overall mortality. For the UK since the covid excess spike over March to May mortality does not differ greatly from previous years. Now, we are in winter, and the usual winter spike appears. It seems to be around the same size as winter 2017/2018.
I certainly don't believe everything l'm told but l don't have tunnel vision and l am open to rational thought.

Douglas ; All good stuff & you should continue over on Jetblast. Vigorous debate on the "Coronavirus" thread where your input would be more apt .It would certainly balance up the tripe that seems to have the majority.
