RYANAIR TARGET TURBOPROP CAPTAINS.

Is this a change in thinking for airlines now. Good news if it is.
but do you go in on captains wages or is this just a bit of marketing.

I suspect you go in on FO salary, the little disclaimer at the bottom says you will be a FO (even if previous Turboprop CPT), until 800hrs at RYR, plus other requirements.

I'm afraid more likely it is just admitting the usual sources of DECs have dried up. We'll be back to good old MRJT chauvinism when the supply becomes commensurate with demand.

Incidentally, XQ has been running left seat Q400 to left seat B738 program for quite a few years now, with no RHS "internship" and full pay from day one. Some of ex-big turboprop operator skippers spent a couple of years there before going to Jet2 or RYR as TRDECs.

Does that mean they will fly even slower than 245kts in descent now?
